Download a demo dual API/Metric units
- Driller's Method,
- Wait and Weight,
- Concurrent,
- Volumetric
- Stripping In.
- Trip Tank Monitor
- Riser Disconnect
The program is loaded with information. Apart from the standard information regarding hole volumes, tubular data and all the standard well control information. You will also find comprehensive help on
- pore pressures,
- maximum allowable influx height,
- type of influx, hydrocarbons, salt water, gas,
- stand pipe pressure changes due to pump stroke and mud weight changes,
- a trip monitor,
- explanations and help on each worksheet
- calculates differences in pore pressures for both offshore and land operations.
Main input
From here you can access the Leak off work sheet which will build your
leak off chart as you enter the data. You have access to pore pressure
information and all the other stuff you have forgotten about from Blow
Out School
Leak Off
A fully automated leak off worksheet generates the leak off
chart as you enter the data. You'll also find help and easy to follow
instructions with a simple button click.
No need to search through loads of information to find the help you need
.
Kick Tolerance
The kick tolerance sheet indicates the total influx allowed
either at an initial kick, if gas is circulated to the shoe or for
a swabbed kick You are warned of the present height of the kick, whether
the influx is above the BHA or above the casing shoe. MASSP is indicated
along with Fracture pressure and Pore Pressure.
The maximum allowable height of influx is calculated plus the allowable
height of influx .
Max Influx Height
You don't need to make any inputs all the data is calculated
and available, including the type of influx, Salt Water, Gas or Hydrocarbons.Warnings
show up if the influx height is above the BHA, or Casing shoe. All the
information about your kick is laid out in an easy to understand graphic
format enabling you to make quick informed decisions.
View the program video. New version includes more features
All the standard industry well control methods are covered. All you need to do, once your input data is up to date, is to go to the main menu and select which method of well control you want to use.
There is general advice on each method and their primary uses. Along with the procedure to follow. You will find all the necessary charts and tables for volumetric and stripping in methods, all with a simple click on the appropriate button.
General calculations are explained along with graphic examples for pore pressures for both Offshore and Land operations. All you need to do is to select the Offshore input or the Land input to update the main input sheet.
